Kleven Boston Elementary School, commonly called Boston Elementary, opened its doors in October of 1988 with 630 students in grades K-6. The new facility included 33 classrooms, an office area, media center, cafetorium, gymnasium, music lab, and art room and was built to accommodate 700 students.
Due to tremendous growth in the planned community of Towne Lake, student enrollment at Boston Elementary climbed rapidly. To accommodate this student growth, an additional building housing 20 classrooms and a computer lab was constructed in 1992. By the 1994-95 school year, the school was serving 1,618 students. Sixteen portable units were added to the campus, making a total of 69 classrooms available for instruction.
Currently Boston Elementary remains a K-5 school serving the needs of approximately 620 students. Two mobile units remain on campus. The most recent Principals at Boston ES are Les Conley (July 2010-June 2012), Joey Moss (July 2012- June 2016) and Izell McGruder (July 2016 – to present).
